IN SEARCH OF THE ROYAL BENGAL TIGER – 10 DAYS

Delhi -Bandhavgarh -Kanha –Pench –Delhi or Mumbai

ADMIRE THE BEAUTIFUL DIVERSITY of the Indian jungle – dense forests, fresh streams, green hills, bamboo thickets, and flower-filled valleys. Experience firsthand the beautiful Indian jungle with its towering, ancient trees, enchanting chorus of forest birds, and herds of gentle chital (spotted deer). Twice-daily jungle drives are conducted in the comfort of a specially designed 4×4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an expert naturalist. Shy sambars (large forest deer) are spotted slaking their thirst at clear streams. Driving out into the constantly changing terrain, panoramic landscapes with sweeping grasslands and often mighty cliffs as the backdrop. The morning peace of the jungle can be abruptly interrupted by the sharp distress calls of chitals and the constant chattering of langur monkeys. This could mean a tiger is on the prowl, and perhaps you may catch a glimpse of this endangered predator, in all its striped glory.

DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI

Upon arrival you will be met, greeted with a traditional welcome and transferred to your hotel. One of the oldest cities in the world, Delhi has an excellent old town ambience in Old Delhi, and modern in New Delhi. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 2: DELHI

Breakfast. Morning tour of New Delhi visiting the Qutub Minar, a gigantic 72-meter tower and Humayun’s Tomb, the mausoleum of second Mughal Emperor Humayun. Drive past the Diplomatic Area, Government buildings, Rashtrapati Bhawan (residence of the President of India), Parliament and India Gate. Visit the Gurudwara, Sikh Temple, an architectural beauty. Afternoon tour of Old Delhi, driving past the Red Fort, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Enjoy a Rickshaw (pedi-cab) ride in Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and largest enclosed bazaars in India. Continue on your tour visiting the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque of India and Rajghat, the place where Mahatma Gandhi, "Father of the Nation," was cremated. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 3: DELHI/JABALPUR/BANDHVAGARH

Breakfast. Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Jabalpur. On arrival, travel by road to Bandhavgarh National Park. Situated in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh supports one of the highest densities of tigers on the Subcontinent. Transfer to the Lodge. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 4: BANDHAVGARH

Breakfast. Morning and afternoon enjoy safaris into the Park. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 5: BANDHAVGARH

Breakfast. Morning and afternoon enjoy safaris into the Park. In between the drives, visit to neighboring village Tala to experience rural life of India. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 6: BANDHAVGARH/KANHA

Breakfast. Morning travel by road to Kanha National Park, one of India’s largest national parks. Transfer to the Lodge. Afternoon enjoy a safari into the Park. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 7: KANHA

Breakfast. Morning and afternoon enjoy safaris into the Park. Meet the chef at your hotel and learn about the spices of India. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 8: KANHA

Breakfast. Morning and afternoon enjoy safaris into the Park. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 9: KANHA/PENCH

Breakfast. Morning travel by road to Pench National Park. This national park received international recognition from Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale, the Jungle Book. Transfer to the Lodge. Afternoon enjoy a safari into the Park. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 10: PENCH/NAGPUR/DELHI 0 MUMBAI & DEPART

Breakfast. Morning enjoy safari into the Park. Transfer to Nagpur airport for your flight to Delhi or Mumbai and connect flight back home.
